Hopatcong Man Get Probation for Aggravated Assault, Weapons Charges

A Hopatcong man was sentenced last week to one year probation after pleading guilty last April to aggravated assault and weapons charges, the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office said.
Brian Howatson, 49, pleaded guilty in April 2013 to third-degree aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Judge Thomas J. Critchley sentenced Howatson on Friday to one year probation.
