Hopatcong Man Indicted in Murder of Borough Woman

Giuseppe Tedesco, 25, indicted for shooting Alyssa Ruggieri, 22, to death at her home.

A Hopatcong man was indicted Thursday for allegedly shooting to death a 22-year-old borough woman at her home March 27, according to the New Jersey Herald.

A Sussex County grand jury charged 25-year-old Giuseppe Tedesco with murdering Alyssa Ruggieri, the newspaper reported. He faces 30 years to life in prison if convicted.

Tedesco, who arrived at a hospital the night of the murder with a gunshot wound on his hand, was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon for failing to obtain a permit to carry the gun and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose—each second-degree offenses with possible 10-year sentences.
