Hopatcong Man Pleads Guilty to DWI and Heroin Possession

Police said Brett Kelly was found last December under the influence and in possession of 15 folds of heroin.

A 30-year-old Hopatcong man pleaded guilty last week to possessing a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated after he was found with 15 folds of heroin last December, Sussex County Prosecutor David J. Weaver said.

Brett Kelly admitted in Superior Court in Newton that he was in possession of the heroin when Hopatcong police officers stopped him in Stanhope. 

Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 6
