Hopatcong Man Admits to Growing Pot on 4/20

Michael Smith, 22, pleads guilty to growing more than 30 marijuana plants in his home.

A Hopatcong man pleaded guilty last Wednesday—or on 4/20, the unofficial pot-smokers' holiday—to growing more than 30 marijuana plants in his bedroom.

Michael T. Smith, 22, was charged with the second-degree crime of manufacturing more than 10, but less than 50 marijuana plants on Dec. 29. He's scheduled to be sentenced on May 27.
