Hopatcong Man Admits Having Crack – Again, Police Say

Resident arrested twice in one month after telling police he was in possession of narcotics, authorities report.

A Hopatcong man told police he had crack cocaine on him for the second time in less than a month, according to Hopatcong Police Lt. Thomas Kmetz.

Police responded to a report of a drunken driver on Maxim Drive on March 14, with a vehicle description and license plate number, Kmetz said.

Officer Thomas Snyder found the vehicle travelling on Maxim Drive a short time later, and noticed Robert Bullard, 62, driving, Kmetz said. Snyder recognized Bullard in the car and knew the driver’s license was suspended, subsequently pulling him over, Kmetz said.

While speaking with Bullard, Snyder found Chore Boy on the floor of the vehicle, which is commonly used at the end of a crack pipe to smoke crack cocaine, Kmetz said.

Upon question, Bullard told police he had crack on him and took a bag containing several pieces of the narcotic out of his slipper, Kmetz said. Police also found a crack pipe inside the vehicle, Kmetz said.
