Man Stole, Then Pawned 30 DVDs, Police Say

Hopatcong resident charged with burglary and theft.

A 25-year-old Hopatcong man was arrested for stealing dozens of DVD movies from a Monroe Trail home, Police Lt. Thomas Kmetz said.

Police reported to a home where the owner said 30 DVDs had been taken from his home, Kmetz said. Following the complaint, Det. Ryan Tracey went to Saturday Night Matinee in Rockaway and learned that Dennis Fastiggi pawned the entire bundle of films to the store, Kmetz said.

Fastiggi was arrested at his home on Wildwood Shores Drive without incident, Kmetz said. He was also given a borough ordinance violation for selling Avon door to door without a permit for an incident on March 22, Kmetz said.
