Quick Chek Employee Struck by Car in Parking Lot
Lakeside Boulevard reopened to traffic around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
A person was struck by a car in front of the Quick Chek parking lot on Lakeside Boulevard Wednesday afternoon, according to Lt. Thomas Kmetz.
The person, who has yet to be identified, is an employee of the store, and was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital, Kmetz said.
Lakeside Boulevard was closed during the initial investigation but reopened around 2:30 p.m., Kmetz said.
The Sussex County Crash Team was notified and the investigation is continuing in the Quick Chek parking lot, Kmetz said.
