Police: Florida Man Drove Drunk

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Florida man was driving drunk on Lakeside Boulevard, police said.

Robert Bickley, 74, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and refusal to take a breath test.

Police said a who'd been driving in front of Bickley's car pulled into the to speak to an officer parked there. The man told the officer the car behind him had driven off the road several times, police said.

The officer then pulled Bickley's car over in the parking lot on July 7 at 10:21 p.m.

Police said Bickley's breath smelled of alcohol and couldn't complete field sobriety tests. While back at the department, police said Bickley refused to give samples of his breath.

Bickely was processed and released to a family member, police said.
