At about 2:15 p.m. Monday, police answered a call of a reported burglary at the home, said Lt. Thomas Kmetz. The homeowner told officers that she came home to find her kitchen covered in shattered glass from the house's back door and called the police.

This type of thing is happening more and more , sure an alarm will call authorities and help is on its way . and a gun is great if you can get to it load it and shoot first . I decided to take a more proactive stance! In the past few months I have secured my home with the Gibraltdoor , it is home invasion proof, I even put one on my master bedroom closet and created a walk in safe /panic room to run too! .find them on facebook and or online Gibraltdoor. this door is so tough even the police battering ram cant get through. they have a video on their website Gibraltdoor

They broke the glass on the door to get in!! What about the windows in your home?? What about the other doors or entrances to the home?? An alarm is the best form of protection with radio or cell backup, with an inside and exterior siren. Also the Alarm company's Lawn sign's tell everyone you have an alarm, go to another house that doesn't have an alarm. Don't forget the second floor, it must be protected as they want to get to the bedrooms to get money and jewels. Call the local police for advice on protecting your home, they can provide excellent advice and help.

ADT is a great investment and its a write off for your homeowners insurance although a guillotine above every entry would be a lot better
