Brooklyn Mountain Road Home Burglary Under Investigation

Police say one ring and an unspecified amount of cash were missing from the residence.

Hopatcong Borough Police are investigating a Monday afternoon residential burglary on Brooklyn Mountain Road, according to a department statement.

At about 2:15 p.m. Monday, police answered a call of a reported burglary at the home, said Lt. Thomas Kmetz. The homeowner told officers that she came home to find her kitchen covered in shattered glass from the house's back door and called the police.

Kmetz said officers found jewelry boxes and pieces strewn on the bed. Reportedly missing was one ring and an unspecified amount of cash.

Police are asking anyone with information pertaining to the incident to call the Hopatcong Detective Bureau at 973-398-5000.
