Police: Woman Had Pot-Filled Safe in Car
The following arrest information was supplied by the Hopatcong police department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A Landing woman had a safe filled with pot in her sports-utility vehicle, said.
Officer James Bianculli stopped a Ford Escape for running a stop sign at the River Styx Road-Sharpe Avenue intersection at 10:31 p.m. Friday, police said.
After speaking with the driver, 19-year-old Lindsay Jackson, Bianculli learned there was a pink safe in the vehicle, police said.

A search of the safe revealed a mint container concealing pot, police said. There was also a smoking pipe and several small plastic bags inside the safe, police said.
Jackson was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign.

Jackson was processed and released, police said.
