Probation, $3K Restitution for Man Who Pawned Stolen Jewelry

Hopatcong resident pleaded guilty in May for January crime.

A Hopatcong man was sentenced to three years probation and two days in a correctional facility after pleading guilty to a charge of receiving stolen property, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Marc Santucci, 22, was arrested in January for his role in pawning a ring to a shop in Byram.

Santucci was sentenced by Judge Peter Conforti in the Sussex County Courthouse on July 19, and given three years probation, two days to serve in the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility.

Santucci was also ordered to perform 200 hours community service, submit to random urine monitoring, maintain employment and pay restitution in the amount of $3,000, the prosecutor’s office said.

Santucci pleaded guilty on May 20 to receiving stolen property.
