Snow Causes Minor Car Accidents in Hopatcong, Cops Say
No injuries reported as several cars get stuck in snowstorm.
Hopatcong Police said there were several minor car accidents in the borough from the snowstorm that hit Northern New Jersey on Tuesday.
Lt. Thomas Kmetz said there were no injuries from the accidents that all involved cars sliding off the the side of roads during the storm.
Kmetz said the majority of the accidents occured from about 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on roads including Musconetcong Avenue, Nariticong Avenue, Dupont Avenue, and Lakeside Boulevard.

Kmetz said one car got towed on Lakeside Boulevard after a driver crashed into the road bank. He said the car was damaged, but the driver sustained no injuries.
Kmetz said there were no roads closed from the conditions outside, and there were no other weather-related issues.

All Hopatcong schools had an early dismissal on Tuesday due to the weather conditions outside.
