Sparta Man Pleads Guilty to Burglarizing Township Home

A Sparta man pleaded guilty last month to burglarizing a township home in 2012.
Benjamin P. Averill, 20, pleaded guilty on Jan. 21 before Judge Thomas J. Critchley at the Sussex County Courthouse to third-degree burglary.
Averill admitted to illegally entering a Sparta home "with the intention of taking items" on Aug. 26, 2012, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 21.
