Sparta Woman Charged With Arson Pleads Not Guilty

Lindsay Kiensicki remains hospitalized after suffering third-degree burns in a Feb. 28 house fire.

A Sparta woman who allegedly set her parent’s home on fire while they were out for the night pleaded not guilty to arson charges, according to njherald.com.

Lindsay Kiensicki, 26, was represented by her attorney George Daggett in court this week, as she remained in the hospital recovering from third degree burns.

Kiensicki’s parents have said their daughter is mentally ill, njherald.com reported. That claim will be considered if Kiensicki is found guilty, the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

A trial date has not yet been set.
