A Hopatcong man was charged with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of steroids after a three-week undercover investigation by the Hopatcong and Roxbury Police departments led officers to his Point Pleasant Road home Thursday.
Thomas McCusker, 39, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree possession of marijuana for distribution (less than one ounce); third-degree possesion of more than one ounce of marijuana with intent to distribute; third-degree possession of marijuana within 500 feet of a park; possession of steroids; possession of a syringe; and possesion of drug parphernalia.
Additionally, McCusker was charged with resisting arrest after he pulled away from an officer while being arrested, according to Lt. Thomas Kmetz.
Officers executed a search warrant at McCusker's home Thursday morning and found three large bags of marijuana (totaling approximately 3 ounces), a bottle of steroids, steroid pills, a scale used to distribute marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Kmetz said.
Kmetz said investigators found McCusker to have allegedly sold drugs, specifically marijuana, in Hopatcong and Roxbury over the past three weeks.
Officers from both departments, as well as the Sussex County K-9 unit, responded to his home for the search warrant.
