Tulsa Trail School, Some Area Roadways Closed Due to Thursday Night Storm
Police report power outages and downed trees and wires in Hopatcong.
The Hopatcong Borough Police report that many pockets of town—including Tulsa Trail Elementary School—do not have power as a result of Thursday night's storms.
According to the Hopatcong Borough Schools website, Tulsa Trail School is closed Friday due to power outage. All other schools are open.
According to Lt. Thomas Kmetz, main roads are clear for travel, but he warned motorists to beware of branches in the roadways and to take care around working power, cable and telephone crews.

Kmetz offered particular caution regarding low wires on Maxim by the hairpin turn, but says the street is open.

The Hopatcong DPW and Police Department will continue to work to get all roads opened today, Lt. Kmetz said, adding a plea for motorists to drive slowly.
