Vehicle Stolen in 2012 Found Torched in Hopatcong Woods
The 1996 Subaru wagon was reported stolen out of Mount Olive in July 2012.
A car reported stolen in 2012 was found torched in the woods off Sparta Road on Saturday, Hopatcong Police said.
Two people found the 1996 Subaru wagon and alerted police to the burned vehicle about a mile into the woods and off the main trail, Lt. Thomas Kmetz said. A license plate check revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Oakwood Village in Mount Olive during the overnight hours of July 10, 2012, Kmetz said.
