WATCH: Fire Department Crafts Recruitment Video

Tony Sobara has been with the Hopatcong fire department for 40 years.

"I'm still trying to figure out why or how," he said.

But Sobara, Co. No. 4's president, said he still enjoys the experience in the fire department's recruitment video. The video, a joint project between firefighters Jason Basile and Tyler Ukleya, is a montage of clips, interviews and pictures of department at work.

At 13:58 long, the video picks up at 5:07 when firemen give their reasons on joining the department and why others should consider doing the same.

Fire Chief Mike Rahill said his home was burned down as a child, and that joining the department in 1994 was "a natural fit." Co. No. 4 Captain Tony Rosado said growing up as an only child helped him appreciate the fire department's sense of brotherhood.
