State: $10M for Local Highway Repairs

Construction to begin this week in Morris, Sussex and Passaic counties.

A $10 million road resurfacing and repairs project will start this week on major highways in Morris, Sussex and Passaic counties, the state Department of Transportation said Tuesday.

At least one travel lane will be open during peak travel hours on each of the highways during the project, which will handled by Tilcon Inc. and will start on Route 15 in Dover.

The project is aimed at improving safety and expanding the life of pavement at each location, including in turn lanes, shoulders and median openings, the state said.
