Hopatcong, Sparta Schools Delayed 90 Minutes, More Snow on the Way
About 5 to 10 more inches are expected Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Hopatcong and Sparta schools will have a 90-minute delayed opening Tuesday after nearly 10 inches of snow cancelled classes on Monday. Morning preschool and morning kindergarten in Sparta has been cancelled for Tuesday.
Another storm is expected to produce 5 to 10 more inches Tuesday night before changing to sleet and freezing rain on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS has issued a winter weather watch from 1 a.m. Wednesday to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
