Lundin Remains Hopatcong Board of Ed President

Dolores Krowl, Judith Antonelli sworn in at reorganization meeting.

In a brief reorganization meeting Monday, new member Judith Antonelli and incumbent Dolores Krowl were sworn into three-year terms on the Hopatcong Board of Education.

Board president Clifford Lundin, also re-elected to a three-year term, was again named to that post. Lundin, however, was unable to attend the meeting.

Board member Susan Madar told the board Lundin contacted her Monday afternoon to say that his return from a trip had been delayed, and he was just landing at the airport in Allentown, Pa.

Lundin will have to be sworn into office by Board Secretary Theresa Sierchio at a later date.

Joanne Passerini was named board vice president.

Antonelli, the top-voter getter in the November election, replaced incumbent Joan Reilly, who finished fourth in a race for three open seats.

Antonelli suggested the board create a legislative liaison position to keep a better eye on laws passed in Trenton that have an impact on the district.

The next board meeting is Feb. 25, which will be a combined work session and public meeting.
