Superintendent Search Forum to Be Held This Week

New Jersey School Boards Association representative to assist board in selection process.

The Hopatcong Board of Education will kick off its search for a new school superintendent this week when the board meets with the public for a forum.

The forum will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Hopatcong High School auditorium. Jane Kershner, director of field services for the New Jersey School Boards Association, will explain the search process to board members and the public and answer questions.

Community members are invited to attend and participate.

Also this week, board members will gather for the annual reorganization meeting Monday at 7:30 p.m. This is the first year the reorganization meeting will be held in January after the board voted to move school board elections to November and eliminate a budget vote last year.
