VIDEO: Martinek: 'You Can Do Whatever You Want'

Joe Martinek looked into the crowd of students and saw familiar faces. He was once one of them.

Martinek spoke to Hopatcong Middle School students on Friday morning, stressing the importance of making the right decisions. He also took questions about his life as a Division I football player and how he's achieved such success from Principal Lou Benfatti, a former New York Jets defensive tackle.

Martinek became New Jersey's all-time leading rusher while at Hopatcong High School. He graduated in 2007 and is now a starting running back at Rutgers University.
