Hopatcong's Sloat to be Honored at Nets Game

Patch recognizes local heroes.

Patch will honor Hopatcong Animal Control Officer Dale Sloat at the New Jersey Nets-Detroit Pistons game at the Prudential Center at 7 p.m. Wednesday

Sloat will be introduced to the crowd during a time out of the first half of the game as part of “Celebrate New Jersey County Nights," a promotion between Patch and the Nets, which will also include Patch-tailored on-court promotions.

"We're delighted to be able to align with the Nets to celebrate New Jersey, the state where we launched our very first sites," Patch president Warren Webster said. "Honoring our many local heroes and offering benefits like discounted tickets fits squarely within Patch's mission of serving local communities."

“We’re thrilled to celebrate our final season in New Jersey with this exciting alliance with Patch,” said Chris Brahe, Senior Vice President of Partnership Sales and Marketing for Nets Basketball. “Patch is an outstanding news source for so many towns in New Jersey, and continues to develop an important presence in our future home of Brooklyn.”
