VIDEO: A Family's Trip to Bertrand Island

Add another historical gem to the list.

Recently a video of a family enjoying a trip to Bertrand Island, a big-time amusement park that lasted from 1928-1983, was uploaded to Youtube. In the clip, children take a trip on a fire truck-inspired merry-go-round, enjoy the Lake Hopatcong breeze and even check out an old-school roller coaster.

Memories abound in the clip, which was shot in 1958. And now you can experience them, though—warning—the video lacks sound.
