Master Showman Zeidwig to Entertain at Sussex PAC

The 'modern day Victor Borge' will play and entertain at a Jan. 25 performance.

No one knows why Mitchell Zeidwig, at age 19, suddenly decided to chuck a shot at a baseball career and instead focus on becoming a concert pianist

But against all odds, Zeidwig succeeded, at not just at the baby grand piano. He excelled as a pianist, a composer, and then, a comedian. With a slight change in name - he goes professionally by just "ZeidwiG", and yes, the capital G is on purpose - the performer has written plays that have been professionally done, played in Vegas and Carnegie Hall, and written film shorts that PBS has broadcast internationally.

So he's bringing his 'modern day Victor Borge' act to Sussex County College's Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 3 p.m. The first half of the show will include musical comedy routines and stunts while the second half is a “serious” piano concert where the virtuoso ZeidwiG will play a program entitled Gershwin on Hendrix. This performance will surely leave you laughing and you will find yourself stunned by the beauty and grace demonstrated in ZeidwiG’s command of the keys.

Tickets are $10 to $18, which Sussex staff and students getting discounts. Visit SCCC's website for purchases.
