Steroids, Pot Seized in Bust of Hopatcong Man's Home, Cops Say

Undercover investigating leads to drug possession and distribution charges.

A Hopatcong man was charged with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of steroids after a three-week undercover investigation by the Hopatcong and Roxbury Police departments led officers to his Point Pleasant Road home Thursday. Thomas McCusker, 39, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree possession of marijuana for distribution (less than one ounce); third-degree possesion of more than one ounce of marijuana with intent to distribute; third-degree possession of marijuana within 500 feet of a park; possession of steroids; possession of a syringe; and possesion of drug parphernalia. Drug Distribution Probe Busts Local Operation

Press conference to be held Wednesday afternoon regarding Hopatcong and Roxbury joint investigation.

The Hopatcong and Roxbury Police Departments will be holding a press conference Wednesday afternoon to announce the results of a drug distribution investigation that resulted in arrest warrants for 23 individuals, according to a release from Hopatcong Lt. Thomas Kmetz. UPDATE: "Roxicong" investigation leads to the arrest of 25 individuals. Read more here. In the joint investigation, dubbed Operation Roxicong, seven search warrants were used, the report said. The report said 87 police officers from various towns in Sussex and Morris counties helped with the arrests and search warrants early Wednesday morning.
