Exactly - People who have dogs and place them outside all day, no attention, no walking is disgusting, why have a dog that is just going to be a yard or deck ornament, these are the people who usually have more than 4 dogs and they can't figure out why the dog barks whines and develops depression

ReplyIsn't there one on River Styx - A resident there has dozens of beagle dogs that howl & bark all day and night and the town doesn't care at all - Several residents have complained although the animal control officer ignores the complaints as does the police, bring your dogs to his dog park. Hopatcong doesn't care about noise and nuisance ordinates - A dog park would be a nuisance to residents with the noise and stink - it would have to be built very far away from a residential area. The town has much more bigger issues to focus on then building a dog park - Business and Financials are top priority, Hopatcong is surviving on "Grants"

ReplyJust make it illegal for BIG Pharma to be able to have any rights of distribution or manufacturing otherwise it should be legalized, there is too much tax payer monies being spent for a silly offense

You don't like the dirt lot with the tractor trailers - That's Ace Tree Services lot - Town council has no control over what is stored on the lot - River Styx will remain as it is for many many many more years, town has no future plans or funds to invest in the area for revitalization

Contact JCP&L for your concerns, the town won't do anything about those issues

ReplyLakeside Blvd/Hopatchung and River Styx Road would be the only roadways that would profit from a bike lane - Don't get your hopes up, widening a roadway costs millions and another "Grant" to complete such a project is all just a BIG pipe dream for Hopatcong

The River Styx area was abandoned years ago and the town never looked back - The area will remain a dead zone for many many more years unless an outside investor makes a bid to re-build the area with business's that will actually profit. Hopatcong still doesn't have a plan for this area although the town council and mayor have said they have more "Grants" for the study of the area - All a distraction and Total BS

ReplyI applaud this venture - Question for Hopatcong, you have a "Freedom" memorial on River Styx, why is there not an illuminated American flag pole there instead of an overgrown pine tree - Doesn't make sense for a "Freedom" memorial
