I finally did find the Freedom Tree. Seems it does not get much press from our Local Gov. This would have been a great place for the 9-11 Memorial. Instead it was placed by the Municipal Building and now because of this memorial, the Holiday decorations in front of the building have been cut back. This inspired me to do my blog on http://hopatcong.patch.com/blog_posts/are-town-memorials-bringing-less-unity-and-more-political-fray
I do see these Memorials becoming more political than honorable. Especially when Incumbents and Paid Public Servants get honored because they honored the honorable. Once they started doing this it was Political - Kiss - Kiss fest that attendees were held captive to watch. Things are going downhill - Great Idea - put up a monument and then everyone honors the people who participated in getting the monument. This was a practice in the former Soviet Union. They hand lots of monuments while the people stood in long food lines. But few people know or respect world history so they don't see the signs of it repeating itself. Check out the Memorial blog topic and leave your comments. Now is a good time they are putting up the town decorations today.

This posting was back in January. Harry did not state his background nor his cause but stated "need help call this number". This had the appearance of a classified ad. Few people give out their number to the public like that. Sorry this was the wrong assumption about poor Harry as yours was about me. But at least I did not call Harry any names. Harry could have corrected me on my wrong assumption and I would have given him an apology. In these hard times we should practice kindness to others. Kindness is free.

Came across this man's posting: Harry Persading. You left a message about advertising his business pay the Patch; you're an idiot! He was venting his frustration about the foreclosure of his home; and how unfair the banks were, which brought this Nation to its knees and created a crater in the economy. You probably walked away with a crap load of money and a secure life; what of the people who do actual work -- why is it you can only see the splinter in your brother's eye but not the log in your own!
