On the article Bullying Claim Pits Family Against School District

The story is the first verified case of HIB in the district since the new rules were imposed. It is not going to be removed.
No minors other than Cassandra (whose family authorized this story) are named.
As we have said repeatedly anyone who would like to speak to us about their experiences with the cheerleading program or submit a letter to the editor are more than welcome to do so. We hope very much that people will talk to us. No one likes having to add "refused to comment on the story".

Hi Barbara,
Thanks for commenting. I am not sure what you mean by not verifying the claims. The story has a direct quote from the superintendent who verifies that bullying did take place.
“The complaint alleges that your daughter Cassandra was denied immediate access to her inhaler during a cheerleading practice and was then verbally reprimanded for being upset. You also indicated that after the principal met with the coaches to discuss the allegation the coaches retaliated by bringing the teams together to discuss the meeting with the principal. After receiving the information regarding the incident the district conducted an investigation. Based upon the investigation, which included the interview of witnesses, as well as the coaches, the District found evidence of HIB. As a result it was recommended that the coaches receive enhanced anti-bullying training.”
And I am in receipt of documentation in support of that.
But I am glad to see you have your technical problem on the site fixed!

ReplyHello MTSO. The zoning issue with the sign was more of a background piece as to one of the reasons why Mr. Klein felt the town wasn't business friendly. There will be more to this story, once I hear back from everyone. :-) thanks for commenting!

It certainly would be worth bringing up at a council meeting. Plenty of ideas for the Larison's property have been kicked around, but no one has said teen center...
