Alleged Burglar Now Faces Drug Charges, Cops Say
Hopatcong man accused of burglarizing a Mendham Township home arrested again during a DWI checkpoint last week.
A Hopatcong man accused of burglarizing a Mendham Township home last month was arrested again after being caught with crack cocaine at a DWI checkpoint last week, police said.
Anthony Troyano Jr., 39, was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, driving while suspended, and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle at the Lakeside Boulevard checkpoint on Dec. 7, according to a report supplied by Lt. Thomas Kmetz.
Troyano was brought to the Sussex County Jail, where bail was set at $25,000, Kmetz said.

Troyano . In that incident, Troyano is accused of stealing $5,000 worth of items from a Roxiticus Road home on Nov. 12.
Last week, police released a sketch of the man believed to have been working with Troyano as an accomplice in the burglary, police said.

Troyano was also arrested in June when he was caught with cocaine after he was pulled over for a headlight out. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle and driving with a headlight out.
At that time, Troyano had two warrants out of Roxbury totaling at least $1,000 and a $184 warrant out of Fort Lee.
